Star Lane Vineyard is the most eastern vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley Appellation. It is both the warmest and highest elevation vineyard in the appellation and is home to the first Syrah clone in the Central Coast, the Estrella clone. The first phase of planting was done in 1996 and the blocks are comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah. This picturesque vineyard is what one envisions when they hear “rolling hills” and it is quite suited to be in Happy Canyon.
